✝️ When the Older You No Longer Fits
There comes a sacred moment in every believer’s journey when the old version of you simply doesn’t fit anymore.
The conversations that once felt comfortable now feel shallow.
The habits that used to soothe your spirit now stir unrest.
Even the people and places that once defined you begin to feel distant not because you’ve lost yourself, but because God is transforming you.
What you’re feeling isn’t confusion it’s spiritual growth.
It’s what happens when God begins to renew your mind, refine your heart, and realign your steps with His will.
📖 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2
There’s a version of you that had to fight for peace,
and there’s a new version of you learning to live in it.
Sometimes, God will make what was once comfortable suddenly tight like clothes that no longer fit.
Not to punish you, but to prepare you.
He’s calling you higher.
He’s asking you to walk lighter.
The older you was necessary for survival.
But this new season? It’s about surrender.
When the older you no longer fits, don’t run back out of fear or guilt.
That “in-between” space where you’re not who you were but not yet who you’ll be is where grace does its deepest work.
📖 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new is here.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17
You are being reshaped by the Potter’s hands.
Every quiet moment, every shift, every closed door is forming something eternal within you.
So let her rest the version of you that carried the weight alone.
She did her job.
But now, you’re learning to walk in partnership with God not striving, but trusting.
You’re not losing yourself.
You’re becoming who He created you to be all alone
Let the old version fade with grace.
Stand firm in the new thing God is building in you even if it feels uncomfortable, even if it means walking alone for a while.
Because when the older you no longer fits,
it’s a sign that heaven is expanding something in your spirit.
And that’s not loss.
That’s transformation. 🌸
📖 “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 1:6
